Sooo Special was founded in 1986 by Florence Berke. Today it is owned and operated by her grandsons, Bryan Maguire and David Maguire. What started as a one-woman promotional products business built on handshake relationships with Northeast casinos has grown into a full-service incentive marketing operation serving properties across the country.

Florence Berke did not chase purchase orders. She built partnerships. For nearly two decades, she was the person casino marketing teams called when they needed something special. Not the cheapest option from a catalog, but something their guests would actually want. She had an eye for high-end gifts and a reputation for knowing exactly what would land with VIP players.

That philosophy carried forward when her grandsons took over. They expanded the reach, modernized the sourcing, and scaled the operation. But the foundation stayed the same: know the property, know the audience, and deliver something worth keeping.

Bryan Maguire and David Maguire run every aspect of the business between them, from sourcing and logistics to client strategy, presentations, fulfillment, and finance. There is no account manager passing your request up the chain. When you call, you are talking to an owner.

David leads every client relationship from first conversation to final delivery. He is constantly generating ideas, tracking what is trending in the consumer market, identifying what casino audiences respond to, and matching the right products to the right events. David drives the sales strategy and works directly with casino marketing teams to build programs that perform.

Operations and Sourcing

Bryan manages the supply chain end to end, from vendor selection and production timelines to manufacturing coordination, international logistics, warehousing, and delivery. He negotiates pricing across a global supplier network and manages the financial infrastructure that allows Sooo Special to handle large-volume orders with tight turnaround windows.
